Mumbai rains Live Updates: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall and gusty winds in Mumbai for July 28, amid continuous rainfall that has caused waterlogging in several parts of the city.

Mumbai rains Live Updates: “Today’s Weather forecast @ 0800 hrs: Heavy to very heavy rainfall in the city and suburbs, with the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places. Occasional gusty winds reaching 40-50 kmph are very likely,” said a BMC official.

According to BMC “Today’s High Tide: 0808 hrs – 3.46 mtr 1908 hrs – 3.20 mtr. Low tide:1350 hrs -2.52 mtr. Next Day- (29.07.2023) 0203 hrs – 1.15 mtr.”

    Delhi Rain Live Updates: Yamuna's water level breaches danger mark again

    River Yamuna's water level surged again at 10:00 am on July 27, reaching 205.83. It is noteworthy that the Yamuna's danger mark is 205.33 meters.

    During incessant rains in Delhi and nearby areas, the Yamuna water level reached the danger mark once again after receding for days.

    Maharashtra Rain Updates: 500 medical teams for rain-hit areas

    The state deployed 500 health teams in the flood-affected areas of Yavatmal, Akola, Raigad, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Jalgaon. Public health department said teams will look into health problems arising in flood-affected areas and relief camps. Of the 496 teams, most were deployed in Yavatmal (119), Akola (103), Buldhana (60), Raigad (59) and Palghar (46). The teams will primarily work towards preventing waterborne ailments and will closely monitor water treatment facilities. Leptospirosis control is another crucial area, said state officials, saying they will be treating high-risk individuals with preventive doses of doxycycline. “We stocked medicines to provide immediate treatment for fever, diarrhoea, etc,” said a state note.

    From 8 am to 1 pm on July 28, Mumbai's island city, eastern and western suburbs received an average rainfall of 50.87mm, 32.13mm, and 23.55mm, respectively. According to the IMD Mumbai, the Colaba observatory (representing the island city) recorded 223.2 mm of rain during the 24-hour period ending at 8.30 am on Thursday, while the Santacruz observatory (representing the suburbs) recorded 145.1 mm of rain.
